INSOVENCY NUMBERS ON THE RISE

The latest figures from the Insolvency Service show a 22.8% rise in Company liquidations during 2009. Similarly the number of Personal Insolvencies rose by 25.95% for the twelve months ended 31 December 2009. Lines Henry are anticipating that once the General election is out of the way, the level of business insolvencies will increase as money is squeezed out of the economy. Traditionally the level of business failures increases as the economy pulls out of recession.

FACTORING/ RAISING FINANCE

We are aware from our accountant contacts that a number of their clients are under pressure from their banks and their factoring arms. In most instances they will try to manage the borrowings down to a more acceptable level. This is a useful trigger point to consider seeking our advice. There are independent Factoring Companies who view this situation as an opportunity, either to take the existing lender out, or to finance a phoenix business free from the current company’s debt.

What will it cost me?

This is a question you should ask any firm or organisation which offers insolvency / debt advice. Rest assured, Lines Henry as Insolvency Practitioners, do not make any up-front charge or consultation fee.
